The Zoolander 2 Trailer Is Finally Here and Already Has Us Cracking Up

Last week, the promo posters for the Zoolander 2 movie surfaced, getting us all excited for the film, which is set to hit theaters February 12. Now, Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for the highly-anticipated movie and it is just as silly and brilliant as you’d expect.

We catch up with Derek Zoolander and his BFF Hansel to find that after 15 years, the handsome pair has fallen out of fashion with the industry in favor of a new muse, “All,” an androgynous, eyebrow-less model played by Benedict Cumberbatch. The premise of the film stems around the crisis that all the beautiful people in the world are being killed, and they are all dying serving Zoolander’s signature look, blue steel. A secret agent played by Penelope Cruz enlists the help of Derek and Hansel to find out who is killing everyone. Of course, Zoolander 2 would be nothing without one of its most colorful characters, that evil fashion designer and mastermind behind the piano key necktie, Mugatu, who is back, fresh outta jail and still up to his old divo tricks.

Just yesterday, Zoolander himself (aka Ben Stiller’s aptly named Instagram account) posted a short teaser of the trailer which dropped this morning, giving us fair warning that we would be getting just a sneak peak of the forthcoming film. “Just want to let everybody know that this is NOT the full #Zoolander2 movie, the real movie is like at least 11 million times longer,” he wrote. Glad that we have Derek Zoolander to explain such complex concepts to us.
