Theo James Breaks Down 'The White Lotus' Nude Scene With Jimmy Fallon
It's caused quite the stir among viewers.
Theo James stopped by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last night, Dec. 2, where he addressed an...erm...elephant in the room.
The actor joined HBO anthology series The White Lotus for Season 2, and they really threw him right into the thick of it with a nude scene in the very first episode.
Now, the scene itself may not be all that out of the ordinary, but it certainly featured something a little startling for viewers, and as James makes his press rounds, it's fallen onto him to explain.
"People thought it was the Loch Ness monster," Fallon joked after turning focus to the infamous scene, which, according to James, was referred to as "the pee pee scene" on set.

"What in the- good for you, by the way, oh my God!" the host continued. "Please, stay seated, I don't want you getting exhausted."
After a few more jabs at James', or rather, his character's, expense, the actor replied, "I can't breathe sometimes, because of the weight of it."
The it, of course, being a prosethetic created specifically for him to wear during the scene, and Fallon just couldn't keep his cool as they discussed it.
"So, you go into these scenes, and you have a conversation with the director, and the producers, and they go, 'Okay, for this, we're gonna use a prosthetic.' ..and you say, 'Okay, that sounds good.'"
"So it is a prosthetic?" Fallon interrupted, clutching his heart. "Thank goodness. Wow! That makes so many men feel so good."
"So, I'll tell you the story," James continued. "So, you know, you have a conversation, and the lovely Rebecca, who was the makeup designer, comes up, and she's like, you know, 'This is what they wanna do, but obviously we want to have some input.'"
He continued, "So I said, 'Honestly, I just want it not to be distracting. It needs to be "Regular Joe."' Because the scene, you know, it's not about the pee pee, it's about power play and sex. It's about whether he did it deliberately or whether it was an accident and what that means, you know, that kind of stuff. And she says, 'I got you. Yeah, I got you. Regular Joe.'"
"And I'm like, 'Okay, cool.' So we get to set, and she's got, like, a hammer or something. I mean, it's bigger than that. It's like she stole it off a donkey in the field. The thing is ginormous, and me and the director, Michael White, are sitting there going, 'That's average?' We're like, calling our respective partners being like, 'I'm so sorry!' It was nine inches flattened and about four inches wide, and we were like, 'What the hell is that?!'"
Keep in mind, that's almost double the length of your average penis — far from your 'Regular Joe!'
"Funny enough, the producer said, 'So what did you do with it? You still got it?' I'm like, 'No I don't have it!'" James concluded.
Viewers were glad for the clarification, noting that the scene had certainly given them reason to pause.
"Rebecca's got some high standards!" one comment joked, whole many others deviated from the story altogether to call for James to be cast as the next 007.
That's a campaign we can get behind!
