There Was a ‘Full House’ Reunion & You Weren’t Invited

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s absence from the Netflix reboot of Full House will reportedly be explained away by mentioning that their character, Michelle Tanner, couldn’t be in San Francisco because she’s too busy in New York City working on building her fashion empire. Yet just because the famous twins won’t be resurrecting their acting careers to cameo in Fuller House, doesn’t mean there’s bad blood with the other cast members. Proof: on Tuesday night, Candace Cameron Bure, Bob Saget, and Ashley Olsen came together on the red carpet at a charity event in New York City.
The friends, who once played family members, all wore black. Bure, a current co-host on The View, wore your holiday party outfit in a black midi leather skirt with a turtleneck and strappy shoes. Real life designer with an actual empire wore a luxurious black coat, which is most likely a Row original, with skinny pants and kitten heels. Saget towered above both the pint-sized stars in a — you guessed it — black suit and sweater vest.
Seeing picture proof of the mini reunion seemingly puts any perceptions of hurt feelings over not being invited to Mary-Kate’s recent nuptials to businessman Olivier Sarkozy to rest. “[My invitation] must have gotten lost in the mail somewhere,” Bure said of her absence. Of the infamous bows of cigarettes, she wondered how she’d fit in with the other guests. “I’m not a smoker, so I might not have had so much fun. I’m really happy for Mary-Kate though. I really am.”
After all, blood — even fake blood — is thicker than Hollywood gossip.
