Suffice to say: whether you want to prep your home for visitors, get ahead of the holidays — or just enjoy a clean space — you've come to the right place.

From Yahoo readers' favorite upright vacuum to the stick vacuum and spot cleaner I rely on regularly in my own home, read on for the best Prime Day vacuum deals of July 2024, including some of the biggest discounts we've seen to date. This is the last day of the two-day extravaganza, so be sure to cash in by tonight before it's too late (see Yahoo’s comprehensive Prime Day guide for more deals across categories.)

Why you should trust us: Our dedicated team of shopping experts scoured thousands of Amazon deals, delving into price histories and consulting with product testers to hone in on the vacuums that are deserving of your hard-earned money — in general and especially at their newly discounted rates.

Table of contents

First up: this smooth operation from Tineco, among our top cordless stick vacuum picks for its powerful (yet quiet) suction, agile maneuvering, easy-release dust cup and innovative LCD display. In our evaluations, it got close to edges and zapped up cereal like it was eating it for breakfast. The minimalistic, headlight-equipped design is scrappy while feeling elevated. We considered the vacuum a good deal at its original cost for its performance and bells and whistles (including accessories), and now it’s on sale for $200 — 33% off — undercutting the former lowest-deal-ever record.

$200 at Amazon

Shark is another brand that has managed to stand out in our vacuum trials for offering strong yet lightweight designs in a competitive price range. And this sleek stick is among their lightest and brightest to date. It weighs in at only 12.3 pounds, complete with a brush roll that auto-adjusts to fit the floor type (use in on carpet or hardwood surfaces) and headlights for added visibility (plus, a HEPA filter that captures over 99.97% of dust and allergens). When you’re done, just return it to its free-standing base for seamless charging and self-emptying. At $360, it’s not cheap, but it's on sale for $40 off, which is the lowest it's dipped thus far — a worthy splurge for a cordless stick vacuum with beauty and brains.

$360 at Amazon

If you’ve yet to nab yourself a Dyson, Amazon is making it easier than ever (or at least cheaper than in a very long time) with almost $200 off the Dyson V8, bringing the popular model down to $300 and securing it a spot in Amazon’s top 100 deals.

We tested the model and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight, nimble stick vacuum, particularly for tackling small spaces and single-floor jobs. The V8 has 40 straight minutes of run time and boasts Dyson’s signature suite of accessories, including the anti-screw brush roll, among our favorites for navigating couch cushions, car mats, and other nooks and crannies.

See also: The Dyson V11, which packs more suction power, a larger dustbin and an additional 20 minutes of battery life, or the Dyson Outsize for even bigger projects and homes. They're both on sale for a limited time.

For the ultimate stick vac glow-up, consider the Dyson V15 Detect. It’s lightweight, zippy and has a customizable brush cleaner head for optimizing toward different surfaces (toggle to the “-” symbol for shallow throw rugs or the “+” sign for plush carpets).

Like the V8 and V11, it comes with Dyson’s suite of accessories, plus — and this is where it gets really neat — a neon green light-emitting soft fluffy roller brush that detects and eliminates dust and other fine particles to ensure hardwood floors are truly clean (there’s also a washable HEPA filter and sophisticated LCD reads). I use Detects in my home and can’t imagine cleaning without them.

Usually selling for around $750, the V15 is marked down almost $180, bringing it to $570, which is competitive based on other, inferior stick vacuums we've tried in the same price range. (See here for more on our Best Cordless Stick Vacuums of 2024.)

$570 at Amazon

Few upright vacuums have managed to capture the hearts of Amazon customers (at least 19,000, based on five-star reviews alone) and Yahoo readers quite like the Shark Navigator — and for good reason. It features swivel steering for shimmying around furniture and corners as well as a HEPA filter for zapping pollutants and keeping them out of the air. The upper portion lifts away (hence the vacuum name) and attaches to accompanying accessories for tackling cushions, curtains and ceilings without straining your back.

Last time we checked, the vacuum was 50% off, bringing it down to $100 — one of the lowest prices we’ve seen — and making this the perfect time to buy.

See also: The Shark Rotator, which features the same lift-away functionality, plus cleaner headlights and pet-focused attachment tools, for a discounted price of $200.

$100 at Amazon

This beloved beast of an upright from Dyson is equipped with a self-adjusting, tangle-free cleaner brush head and advanced filtration paired with powerful cyclone (suction) technology. It's accompanied by its own suite of eight pet-conscious attachments for finally getting a handle on stubborn fur, dander — the possibilities are endless! — from every crevice and corner of your home. A giant swivel ball and long hose mean there are no limits to where you can roam. The Animal Total Clean is marked down to $390, the lowest this vacuum goes, in a striking cobalt blue and chrome.

$390 at Amazon

The Bissell Crosswave has racked up more than 17,000 positive reviews from Amazon customers who've come to appreciate its "ingenious" yet refreshingly "simple" design. It's lightweight, powerful and versatile: The Crosswave leverages a two-tank system and dual-action multi-surface brush roll for vacuuming and washing floors in one pass.

Scoop up the multitasker on sale for $150, its lowest price on record, to preserve closet space and stop dirt and dander in its tracks.

See also: the Bissell CrossWave OmniForce, also on sale at a record low price, for additional bells and whistles, including the option to go cordless.

$150 at Amazon

When it comes to upright carpet cleaners, the Hoover PowerScrub Deluxe is another (heavy-duty) bet.

It combines tough (though not abrasive) brushes with strong suction for hunkering down on tricky stains and thick carpets. There's a powerful heat source for drying rugs so they don't remain wet, and the 8-foot hose and various attachments provide access to areas that are otherwise hard to get. But you don’t have to take our word for it: The PowerScrub comes backed by over 37,000 reviewers who love the vacuum for its stain-busting abilities

The clincher: It’s currently on sale for $100 off, bringing the price down to $140, on the lower end for what you might spend on just one professional carpet cleaning.

$127 at Amazon

For a cordless floor cleaner option, few models have managed to capture the hearts of TikTokers quite like this one from Tineco, made popular for its ability to vacuum and wash, both with strength and precision, all at once. According to the brand, it's engineered to automatically adjusts suction, water flow and brush roller speed to adapt to different environments and messes. There's a self-cleaning function and a pet hair strainer for easy — less yucky — maintenance. Just position it on the docking station to keep it charged between passes. At $289, nearly half off, there's never been a better time to get on the bandwagon.

$289 at Amazon

Robot vacuums are popular for their innovative technology and hands-off approach – particularly helpful for last-minute guests and people who are frequently on the go.

And according to more than 15,000 Amazon customers, this sleek, app-controlled vac from iRobot has a knack for making its way around the home. "Performs quietly and navigates around the house with ease," confirmed one reviewer. "I have two cats and my place has never been cleaner," wrote another of the self-charging gizmo, which has a run time of 120 minutes and is compatible with both carpet and hardwood floors.

Experience it for yourself at a $90 discount, the deepest we've seen to date.

See also: the iRobot Roomba Combo Essential Robot Vacuum and Mop, on sale for the lowest price we’ve seen listed, for built-in mopping capabilities.

$160 at Amazon

Sit back, relax and enjoy up to 60 days of self-cleaning (and emptying!) with the iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO, which can be used as a vacuum, mop or combo, to clean the surface and room you want. When it's done cleaning, it discards its bin into an enclosed bag that holds up to two months’ worth of debris.

“Who knew such a little vacuum could do such a great job,” wrote one of the robot vac’s 12,000 five-star fans. Added another, “This should be the REAL starter Roomba that people buy.”

At $260 off — and its lowest price to date — there’s never been a better time to give it a try.

$300 at Amazon

The Shark AI Ultra is another great contender for a self-emptying robot vac, in this case with the capacity to hold dirt and other debris in its discard bin for approximately 30 days. The HEPA-equipped base promises to capture up to 99.97% of dust and various allergens, while the vacuum’s powerful suction and smart navigation system promise to pick up everything in "sight."

“I’m in love,” exclaimed one happy customer, while another went as far as to call it “one of the best purchase decisions I made this year.”

According to reviewers, the Shark AI Ultra, now marked down to a whopping $300 off, is also a pro at combatting pet hair and dander.

$250 at Amazon

Last in our robot vacuum category (but certainly not least) is this shiny blue sphere from Okp. It can be controlled via the touch of a button, tap on an app or simple voice command. As I described here in my dedicated review, it’s straightforward to set up, program and use. I have one stationed in my living room and rely on it to maintain my floors throughout the week. It’s also been a godsend for last-minute guests since I can start it when commuting. Get it while it’s hot, i.e. the lowest price ever listed on Amazon.

$90 at Amazon

Looking for a good, portable spot cleaner? Look no further than the Shark StainStriker. The compact yet mighty stain and odor eliminator relies on a two-formula system with powerful suction and a range of bristle, pet and crevice tools to target and remove stains and smells from carpets and upholsteries with force.

It weighs under 9 pounds and has a handle for easy carrying, making it a great choice for those who live in cozier spaces.

The #CleanTok regular is now on sale for only $90, which, according to our research, is a record low.

$90 at Amazon

Last, but certainly not least, is the Bissell Little Green, which is one of my personal go-tos for a straightforward, effective cleaner that doesn’t require much space. I used it to restore one of my favorite throw rugs (see the results here) and have counted on it to keep my upholsteries looking like new since.

And I'm certainly not alone: More than 80,000 customers give the Bissell Little Green five stars for its power and portability.

Now $86, among Amazon’s top 100 Prime Day deals and the lowest prices in history.

See also: the Bissell Little Green HydroSteam, on sale for almost $100 off, for tougher — particularly goopier — stains and liquids that could use some steam. (I’ve witnessed it lift chocolate syrup and honey from carpets with ease.)

$82 at Amazon

If you have Amazon Prime, you’ll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? No problem. You can sign up for your free 30-day trial here. (And by the way, those without Prime still get free shipping on orders of $25 or more.)
