Here are things to do during Derby Weekend away from Churchill Downs
The 150th Kentucky Derby is right around the corner, but if you are one of the people who are not going to Churchill Downs, Louisville has many things to offer outside of the track.
Here are some things to do during Derby Weekend outside of Churchill Downs:

Oaks Day Watch Party (1-6 p.m., Friday, at TEN20 Craft Brewery Butchertown, East Washington Street)
PG&J’s Fourth Annual Kentucky Furby, “Run for the Noses” (12-4 p.m., Saturday, at PG&J’s, 800 Baxter Ave.)
Mint Julep Mingle (7 p.m., Friday, at Evan Williams Bourbon, 528 W. Main St.)
Paristown Derby Day Garden Party (12-7 p.m., Saturday, at the Paristown Arts & Entertainment District): There will be music, Derby cocktails and the races will be presented on a digital video wall.
Derby Week Concert Series
Eli Young Band (8 p.m., Thursday, at Fourth Street Live!, 411 S. 4th St.)
DJ Pauly D with James Kennedy (8 p.m., Friday, at Fourth Street Live!, 411 S. 4th St.)
Big Bounce America 2024
A set of seven inflatable attractions for families to enjoy from Friday to Sunday at the Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville.

Star Wars Day (May 4) events
Star Wars Drag Brunch at Le Moo: Make reservations ahead of time to enjoy a tribute to Star Wars, Saturday at Le Moo, 2300 Lexington Road. There will be performances by Drag Queens including Anya Androvna, Vic Leon and Zsa Zsa.
Cinco de Mayo (May 5) events
Cinco de Mayo at Fourth Street Live!: A free family event starting at 2 p.m., Sunday.
Music & Margs: Kickoff the margarita season Friday at Howl at the Moon and enjoy some drink specials.
Cinco de Mayo Celebration: Enjoy food, music and drinks from 6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, at Noche Mexican BBQ, 1838 Bardstown Road Suite 100.
