Things to do in Green Bay this weekend: AllouezFest, PAW Patrol, Food Truck Fridays, Green Bay Film Festival

GREEN BAY - Farmers markets are in full swing now in the Green Bay area. There are also tons of live music and art around the city to check out if you're looking for a night out this weekend.

Here's a roundup of things going on in the Green Bay area this weekend.

AllouezFest

The Allouez Optimist Club is holding the 39th annual AllouezFest family picnic and car show on Sunday. There will be food and refreshments, free admission for spectators, games, bounce houses, and a vendor fair.

The event is at Green Isle Park, 900 Greene Ave., Allouez. It is at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information is on Facebook.

Comedian Chris D'Elia

Chris D'Elia is performing at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Meyer Theatre in downtown Green Bay. Doors open at 7 p.m. D'Elia hosts the podcast "Congratulations with Chris D'Elia" and has three comedy specials on Netflix.

Tickets are still available between $33 and $154 on Ticket Star. More information is at meyertheatre.org.

Food Truck Fridays

Food Truck Fridays begin this week at from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the Brown County Central Library, 515 Pine St., Green Bay. Food trucks will be in the library parking lot at Pine Street and Monroe Avenue. This week's food truck will be Oley's Pepperoni Cannoli. Other upcoming ones in June:

  • June 28: Blue Suede Foods

Green Bay Film Festival

"String Theory: The Richard Davis Method" will be shown Friday at the Tarlton Theatre, 405-409 W. Walnut St., as part of the Green Bay Film Festival. "String Theory" is a 2018 documentary on "virtuosos bass player" Richard Davis.

Doors open and dinner is available at 6 p.m.; the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door; $15 pre-sale through Eventbrite.

PAW Patrol Paw-Palooza at the National Railroad Museum

Bring the pup lovers to the National Railroad Museum, 2285 S. Broadway, Ashwaubenon, to visit their faves from PAW Patrol including Chase, Marshall, Skye, and Rubble. Do free crafts, check out rescue vehicles, and take a train ride at PAW Patrol Paw-Palooza. The museum is partnering with the Children's Museum of Green Bay for the event.

The event is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday to Sunday. Tickets cost $20 at nationalrrmuseum.org.

De Pere farmers market comes back

The Downtown De Pere Farmers Market returns this weekend. Vendors will be on George Street Plaza between Wisconsin Street and Broadway. Enjoy music from Amelia Ford, food trucks, and children's activities. The market is 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Art and Music Night in De Pere

The first Art and Music Night of the summer is this weekend. Stroll through downtown De Pere to hear street musicians perform while live art demonstrations go on. Check out eight outdoor murals and a few permanent sculptures.

The walk is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. More information is at definitelydepere.org.
