I Think the Chase Rice Drama Will Help Victoria F. on ‘The Bachelor’ & Here’s Why
*Warning: Spoilers ahead*
On last night’s episode of The Bachelor, Peter Weber surprised Victoria F. with a Chase Rice concert not knowing that she used to date the country singer before coming on the show. Whoops!
If you’re thinking, She’s a goner!, you might just be in for a surprise. I’m not convinced that it will hurt her at all. If anything, Victoria F. has a leg up on the other contestants now that Weber knows her dating history, and it all comes down to one thing: jealousy.
It has been a major theme in season 24, and while it usually revolves around the ladies, Victoria F.’s situation presents a totally different dynamic. Think about it, this is the first time the Bachelor has met a contestant’s ex-boyfriend, like, ever.
Although Rice won’t appear in the upcoming episodes, Weber will always be reminded of that date and how there’s another man (not to mention, a country star) gunning for someone he’s interested in. This creates some motivation that Weber doesn’t have with any of the other contestants.
Sure, the pilot has strong bonds with Madison, Kelley and—dare I say—Victoria P. But at the back of his mind, Weber knows that Victoria F. is a hotly-desired commodity back at home. And if he has any ego whatsoever, he’ll probably hold onto Victoria F. until he’s confident in his decision to either send her home or make her his wife.
The good news is Chase Rice will probably release a catchy breakup song in our near future. The Bachelor returns to ABC next Monday, February 3, at 8 p.m.
