Thomas Markle Admits to Lying in Interview with Piers Morgan About Duchess Meghan
Meghan Markle's dad Thomas Markle admitted to lying about her in an interview with Piers Morgan.
Thomas has a new documentary out called Thomas Markle: My Story.
Today in UGHHHHHH, Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle, has debuted a new documentary called Thomas Markle: My Story, which I think we can all agree is a highly iffy look that won't be winning him any points with his daughter. In the documentary, Thomas talks about his falling out with Meghan, and also admits that he lied in a previous interview...making it hard to trust, well, literally anything he says in the doc!
Thomas says he lied during his June 2018 Good Morning Britain interview with Piers Morgan, which went down after the royal wedding. "Actually on the Piers show, I lied," he explained, saying that Meghan and Harry never actually called him like he claimed. "I made their image appear better."
Erm. Kay. Meanwhile, Thomas said he plans to continue to do interviews and get paid for them: "I'm going to defend myself. And I'm going to be paid for it. I'm not going to refuse to get paid for it. I'll do future things and be paid for it, I think. I don’t care. At this point, they owe me. The royals owe me. Harry owes me. Meghan owes me. What I have been through, I should be rewarded for."
Yikes! But wait, there's more: "My daughter told me that when I reach my senior years, she would take care of me. I'm in my senior years now. I'm 75 years old, so it's time to look after Daddy."
This is obviously the worst, but for what it's worth Thomas also said he misses Meghan, saying "I miss her. I miss the way she was. I don't know who she is now, that's the problem."
Hmmm, something tells me doing documentaries like this aren't the key to a happy reunion?
