Three Actors Returning for 'Top Gun 3'

Step aside, Ethan Hunt. Maverick's ready to fly again.
Puck reports tonight that Top Gun 3 is a go with Tom Cruise reprising his starring role as Pete "Maverick" Mitchell.
What exactly that means at this point is up in the air (pun intended).
Just this week, Cruise signed a non-exclusive deal with Warner Bros. to develop, produce, and star in projects for the studio.
Don't get too excited, it'll be a while before he can start making movies for Warners. He'll need to wrap his commitments for Paramount including, Mission:Impossible Dead Reckoning Part Two, which is in production, and apparently Top Gun 3.
According to IMDB, Cruise is also on the hook for an untitled SpaceX project for Universal.
The rumored first movie that's likely part of his Warner Bros. deal is Live Die and Repeat, a much-discussed sequel to 2014's Edge of Tomorrow, which co-starred Emily Blunt.
Paramount has made no official statements on the sequel reports.

When is Top Gun 3 coming out?
Since the project is still in development and has yet to begin filming, it would be premature to share a premiere date, but it likely won't be until 2025 or more likely 2026 at the earliest.
Who's in the cast of Top Gun 3?
There's no Top Gun without Tom Cruise so it's safe to assume he's on board.
Cruise's Maverick co-star Miles Teller, who played Goose's son Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw, is rumored to be returning.
Also on the roster of potential returning cast members is Glen Powell (Lt. Jake 'Hangman' Seresin).
No word yet on Maverick's love interest but wouldn't it be sweet to see Kelly McGillis return and ride off into the sunset with Cruise one more time.
