Tiffany Trump attends fashion show for designer of her inauguration outfit
Tiffany Trump and her representatives may have had to work extra hard to earn her spot at New York Fashion Week, but that didn’t stop the 23-year-old first daughter from getting a front-row seat.
Trump was spotted in the front row at the show for label Taoray Wang — the same brand she wore at the presidential inauguration. (Notably, she didn’t choose to wear an American brand; Wang’s label is based in Shanghai.) At the fashion show, Trump wore a simple one-shouldered black sheath belted with a white sash, which the Daily Mail reports was straight from the SS2018 collection that walked the runway. Wang herself thanked Trump for attending with a photo on her Instagram accompanied by the simple caption, “Thank you for coming to our show, Tiffany.”

Trump also showed up at Philipp Plein, a label known for its stunt casting. (Last year, the “Hot Convict” debuted as a runway model at a Plein show.) She changed into the label for the late-night event, popping into an edgier look with a graphic dress with cutout arms. She posed for the camera with her fellow Rich Kids of Instagram pals Peter Brandt Jr. and Andrew Warren.

Just a few months ago at the February fall-winter 2017 shows — and one month after the inauguration — Trump found it a little harder to get designers to pose with her at Fashion Week. At Philipp Plein’s show, boycotters delayed the opening of the runway for an hour. The refrain of “no editors want to sit next to Tiffany Trump” followed her throughout Fashion Week. This time, she seems to have skipped the possibility of a snub entirely by bringing her own entourage with her.

Nicki Minaj and Yo Gotti also showed up at Plein’s show this year, and famous models Irina Shayk and Adriana Lima walked the runway. Although paparazzi cameras captured Tiffany’s seat in the front row, her appearance hasn’t been promoted — like those of the other “celebs” who attended — on the designer’s Instagram.
