Tilda Swinton sat front row at the Charles Jeffery Loverboy show held on Friday during London Fashion Week. The actress attended the show with her daughter and fellow actress Honor Swinton Byrne.
The “We Need to Talk About Kevin” star sported a pair of campy Charles Jeffery Loverboy loafers made to look like bear paws. Swinton’s pair could be likened to Bravest Studios’ Bear Claw mule released in Dec. 2023. The CJL style featured silver metal claws that hung over the toes of each loafer. Additionally, the silhouette was crafted was crafted of black leather. The style, called Moccasin Moggies, retails on Charles Jeffery Loverboy’s website for $1,010 and comes in an alternative neon green shade. The clawed silhouette comes in sizes 35 to 45.
Loafers like Swinton’s offer a preppy touch to any ensemble. More casual than oxfords, loafers are often fitted with short block heels and lack lace-up closures. Loafers are often made of leather but have been altered in the past few years to include some faux fur and patent leather options. Many brands, both high-end and affordable, feature loafer styles including Ganni, Aldo, Steve Madden, Coach and Coperni.
Keeping with the preppy theme of her footwear, Swinton wore a suiting set, also from Charles Jeffery Loverboy. The sophisticated set was comprised of a gray, yellow and light blue oversized blazer and matching trousers. The blazer was layered overtop a white and blue-striped button-down.
When it comes to footwear, Swinton’s style is sharp and artistic. The “Three Thousand Years of Longing” star often wears sharply pointed pumps for formal occasions, as well as pointy mules and stiletto-heeled sandals in a range of hues. When off-duty, Swinton slips on flat-soled sneakers from brands including Vans and Louis Vuitton. Outside of shoes, the actress has also served as a muse and ambassador for numerous brands, including Chanel, Schiaparelli and Haider Ackermann.
