Tilda Swinton Gleams in Strapped Silk Pumps at 20th Marrakech International Film Festival
Tilda Swinton was sharply suited for the opening ceremony of the 20th Marrakech Film Festival.
On Saturday, Swinton arrived for the occasion in Morocco in a pair of sharp pumps. The “Chronicles of Narnia” actress’ style featured a pointed-toe silhouette with a smooth black leather base, complete with crossed front straps and thin stiletto heels.

Swinton’s footwear was complete with smooth pink silk toe paneling, bringing her heels a two-toned effect. The elegant shape and silhouette added a sharp finish — and a tonal pop of color — to the “We Need to Talk About Kevin” actress‘ thick white coatdress for the occasion, which featured a boxy, double-breasted silhouette with silky lapels. Similar pumps are favored for their smooth textures and tonal jewel colors, as seen in new styles from labels including Manolo Blahnik, Roger Vivier and Nina Shoes.
During the ceremony itself, Swinton also shared a special moment with fellow actresses Jessica Chastain and Isabelle Huppert as the trio held hands together onstage.
When it comes to footwear, Swinton’s style is sharp and artistic. The “Three Thousand Years of Longing” star often wears sharply pointed pumps for formal occasions, as well as pointy mules and stiletto-heeled sandals in a range of hues. When off-duty, Swinton slips on flat-soled sneakers from brands including Vans and Louis Vuitton. Outside of shoes, the actress has also served as a muse and ambassador for numerous brands, including Chanel, Schiaparelli and Haider Ackermann.
