Timothée Chalamet Flashes Underwear on ‘SNL’ as Troye Sivan
Timothée Chalamet, Troye Sivan
Whenever Timothée Chalamet hosts Saturday Night Live, viewers can expect a viral moment or two—and his Nov. 11 stint was no exception.
The Wonka star took on his second stint hosting SNL, and a skit titled "Troye Sivan Sleep Demon" featuring Chalamet as influencer Troye Sivan certainly made a lasting impression.
For the bit, Kayla (Sarah Sherman) is at a hospital because she keeps seeing someone dancing next to her and can't sleep. Kayla's doctor (Bowen Yang) attempts to get to the bottom of her sleep disturbance by inducing the hallucination.
That's when Chalamet appears and begins dancing—and at one point, turns around to pull down his pants, revealing red underwear.
"What are you? Are you a demon?" the woman asks him.
"No, not quite, girlie," he replies. "I'm an Australian YouTube twink turned indie pop star and model turned HBO actor Troye Sivan, being played by an American actor who can't do an Australian accent. Bye, diva!"
"Oh no, I was afraid of this," the doctor says. "...We're seeing this more and more as this boy is sneaking his way into the mainstream. You're the fourth woman I've seen this week who's suffering from Troye Sivan Dancing as Her Sleep Demon."
The doctor again induces Kayla's hallucination so she can describe Sivan's dancing in further detail. "He's showing me his tiny, little red undies?" she tells the physician.
Bowen and Chalamet then do the underwear-revealing dance together.
When the woman asks why Sivan has her "psyche in a chokehold," Chalamet chimes in with: "Isn't it obvious, homie? I look like a moisturized Machine Gun Kelly, and I'm the most iconic blouse ever. Bye, diva."
After the doctor explains that a "blouse is a femme top," he prescribes her "something so straight, it should drive him out of your system": Logan Paul's Prime energy drink and four seasons of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Kayla refuses the treatment because she's grown attached to the dancing— so she starts hallucinating multiple Sivans. That's when boygenius members (who also served as SNL's musical guests) Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus appear also dressed as Sivan. The four Sivans and the doctor then all dance and reveal their "tiny, little red undies," ending the skit.

For those wondering, the real Sivan seems to be a good sport. He took to Instagram to share a clip of the SNL sketch, writing, "WHY IS LIFE SO WEIRDDDDD RN LMAO IM DEAD."
Additionally, Sivan changed his Instagram profile picture to a photo of Chalamet dressed as him on SNL.
