She wasn't expecting her bird to do that!

Owning a bird can be a lot of work, but it can be a lot of fun, too. Parakeet owner @kristen_perry002 is learning this firsthand every day, but now so are her TikTok followers. She shared a hilarious video clip of her attempts to play hide-and-seek with her bird, Sprite, and it's simply hilarious to watch!

As Kristen counts down for a round of hide-and-seek, Sprite has a different kind of surprise in mind for her. We're honestly still laughing at her reaction!

LMAO! We really weren't expecting to see him sneak up on her like that! Although in retrospect, we weren't nearly as surprised as Kristen herself. The way she jumped was so relatable and genuine--no wonder this video has gotten so popular!

"The way he ran off laughing was the best," wrote commenter @ferretleah. It was the cherry on top, for sure! That move alone told us all we need to know about this little bird's personality. @Drakonis replied, "he's so proud of himself," and they're completely right! If that's not the sound of a satisfied bird, we don't know what is.

We absolutely love that @gingerman2727 said, "that bird just started his villain arc in that moment." LOL--he sure did! He better not make a habit out of spooking his mom, or she'll be in for an interesting life with her feathered friend. Especially if she scares easily...which she admits she does.

"I scare easily, LOL" were her exact words in response to @ava124690's hilarious comment: "the way you jumped got me laughing. You jumped like a cat when they get scared." Haha! No wonder Sprite the bird gets so much entertainment from scaring his mom!
