'Today' Fans Get Emotional Over Hoda Kotb's New Instagram With Maria Shriver
Maria Shriver has been co-hosting the Today show fourth hour with Hoda Kotb while Jenna Bush Hager has been out on maternity leave.
Hoda and Maria both recently gushed about how much they love each other on Instagram.
Hoda Kotb and Maria Shriver are close pals, even when the cameras aren't rolling.
The fourth-hour Today co-hosts (Maria has frequently filled in for Jenna Bush Hager, who has been on maternity leave), have both taken to social media to share their mutual admiration for one another. Most recently, Hoda shared a sweet behind-the-scenes photo of the two of them on Maria's 64th birthday.
"Happy birthday to my dearest! @mariashriver," Hoda wrote in the caption. Maria responded, "Thank you my wonderful friend i love you. ??."

Clearly, Maria wasn't the only one who appreciated Hoda's touching post. Hundreds of Today show fans chimed in with their own "Happy Birthday" messages in the comments section, while also passionately declaring how much they love Hoda and Maria's friendship.
"What a ggrreeaatt pic???? happiest, happiest Bd??y Marvelous Maria @mariashriver and you gave a good day too Hoda...love you both????," one fan wrote. "You two are awesome together. I can feel the love," another said. "I have gained so much energy, positivity, and perspective from listening to you on the Today show and your posts ... thank you so much for your gifts," a different fan commented.
In late October, Maria posted a heartfelt Instagram about Hoda after co-hosting the fourth hour with her during the week.

"My friendship with her brings me so much joy. I feel loved, seen, accepted. It’s a gift. She’s unbelievable — generous and loving," Maria declared while thanking the Today show crew. "Many of you have said, it’s so great NBC has you on air more. Well, it’s Hoda who asked me to come. It’s one person who made room for me at her desk."
