'Today' Show Star Savannah Guthrie Shared a Super Emotional Instagram

Savannah Guthrie is celebrating a huge turning point in her year.

On Friday, March 26, the Today show coanchor posted a heartwarming photo of her family reuniting after being apart throughout much of the coronavirus pandemic. While Savannah was on assignment in L.A., she had the opportunity to see her mom and sister for the first time in more than a year. Over on the East Coast, Savannah’s husband, Michael Feldman, and their two kids, Vale and Charley, also had a heartwarming reunion with their paternal grandmother.

“And on the other side of the country/family - kids get to see their beloved Grammy for the first time ????,” Savannah wrote on Instagram.

Right on cue, Savannah’s fans immediately began flooding the comments section with love and support. “So precious ??,” one person wrote. “This is beautiful ??,” added another. “What a wonderful time for all of you!!” a different fan said.

Michael also posted the same photo on his Instagram, captioning it: “This moment made possible by science, the pharmaceutical industry and the government. Three entities that don’t often get their due.”

In the comments section, Savannah replied with, “??????.” Fellow Today show star Jenna Bush Hager also wrote, “This moment brought tears to my eyes.”

Speaking about what it was like seeing her mom again, Savannah couldn’t help but get emotional when talking about the moment on the Today show. She explained that her mom is “fully vaccinated now” and that they followed the necessary medical precautions.

"I needed to hug my mom, and I'm really grateful I had the chance,” Savannah said.
