'Today's Dylan Dreyer Takes a Tumble Backstage While Performing a Trick
Practicing a segment on the Today show set before going on air didn't go quite as planned for Dylan Dreyer.
In a behind-the-scenes Instagram Reel shared by Al Roker, Dreyer is seen taking a tumble while rehearsing a trick with a dog named Elsa. She calls the Border Collie over, who promptly jumps into her arms, executing the feat.
However, Elsa appeared to be a bit heavier than the meteorologist expected, causing her to drop onto the carpet. The 42-year-old laughed it off and appeared to have safely fallen into a sitting position, unscathed. Her white dress also somehow remained pristine.
Roker captioned the clip, "Our rehearsal for a trick with Elsa for our interview with the head dog trainer for the movie @straysmovie went gray for @dylandreyernbc Both Dylan and Elsa are okay."
In the comments, fans shared how impressed they were by Dreyer's graceful tumble.
"And Dylan managed to fall so gracefully! Now that’s talent ??????," someone commented. Another fan wrote, "Too funny! I love Dylan and she handled that “OOPS” so well! Bless her heart! ????."
Elsa is one of the furry stars of the upcoming movie Strays, who is voiced by Will Ferrell in the movie. She appeared in a segment with Roker, Dreyer and Sheinelle Jones as animal trainer Mark Forbes showed how the pups prepped for the flick.
While filming the trick for the show, Dreyer was able to expertly pick up Elsa without falling again. The Today show co-host appeared to be thrilled to have done it successfully, exclaiming, "Yay!"
