What Tom Brady Really Thought of Travis Kelce's Altercation With Coach Andy Reid

Although the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII, the first half was rough for Travis Kelce's team. He had an emotional outburst directed at head coach Andy Reid—during which Kelce grabbed Reid's arm, nearly throwing him off-balance. The Chiefs tight end has received backlash online for the display of anger.
However, Tom Brady recently shared his thoughts on Kelce and Reid's altercation—and the retired New England Patriots quarterback is cutting Kelce some slack.
"There's always little family issues and of course, I don't mind seeing it 'cause I was a part of a lot of those things," Brady said during the Feb. 12 episode of his podcast Let's Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray. "You are definitely not centered and balanced. You're not in a meditative state at that point. You are fully determined to go out there and to win."
He concluded: "So I think a lot of the things that are said during the games, people should just let them fly off their back."

Kelce has since addressed the viral moment. In a post-game interview, number 87 was asked what he said during the "very engaging conversation."
After joking, "You guys saw that?" he replied, "I'm going to keep it between us unless my mic'd-up tells the world. But I was just telling him how much I love him."

Reid also fielded a question about the interaction during a post-game interview.
"He caught me off-balance. I wasn't watching. It was a cheap shot, but it's all right," the head coach said. "He did good. He was really coming over to tell me, 'Put me in! I'll score.' That is really what it was. Well, I love that. I mean, it isn't the first time. So, listen, I appreciate it."
