Tomi Lahren is going to drink pickle juice, despite what the haters think
Conservative political commentator and Fox News host Tomi Lahren has taken to Twitter to defend her love of pickle juice, and her belief that drinking it has health benefits.
The 26-year-old posted a video this week touting the benefits of drinking pickle juice, saying, “There’s health benefits. I googled it.”

The Daily Beast investigated Lahren’s claims that pickle juice was more than just a brine to house pickles. They specifically looked at claims that the salty liquid helps with muscle cramping.
“Our bodies are 70 percent or more water,” Dr. Kevin Miller, a professor in Central Michigan University’s Department of Athletic Training, told the Daily Beast. “When I give healthy subjects 80 mls of pickle juice, it’s not enough to change any electrolyte concentration.”
The author of the piece shared it on Twitter, and Lahren made it clear with a retweet that she has no interest in hearing from medical science or anyone else about her pickle juice swilling habit. Strangely, she called out that the advice was coming from “people in believe in 64 gender ‘options.'”
Oh goodie, a science and health lesson from the people who believe in 64 gender “options.” Pass. https://t.co/bs948BHNRL

She also added more commentary in her Instagram stories, saying “here’s to you” and toasting with a jar of Vlasic pickles, which was captured and shared by writer Yashar Ali.

It’s important to remember to check with your doctor — not Dr. Google — before trying any home remedies.
“There are a lot of home remedies out there,” Miller told the Daily Beast. “Just because someone puts it on their Twitter or on the internet doesn’t mean it’s safe for you to do so.”
Lahren, of course, is no stranger to controversy. The host was accused of desecrating the flag with a Halloween costume, and she was infamously fired from Glen Beck’s conservative online and cable channel The Blaze after coming out as pro-abortion-rights. And of course, she picked the wrong fight in January, when she tweeted about Cardi B.’s political commentary, promoting the Bronx born rapper to tweet “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.”
