Town & Country's Live Well, Give Well Charity Auction Supports Communities During Catastrophes
Grab your bid paddle! During the first day of Town & Country’s eighth annual Philanthropy Summit, which featured a conversation between Pharrell Williams, José Andrés, and Soledad O'Brien, Editor in Chief Stellene Volandes announced the Live Well, Give Well charity auction.
In celebration of the magazine’s 175th Anniversary, the exclusive sale features luxurious experiences, high-fashion pieces, and one-of-a-kind items like a personalized cookbook from José Andrés and limited-edition sneakers from Pharrell Williams.
Proceeds benefit World Central Kitchen and its mission of using food to empower communities and strengthen economies, which have experienced devastation from both natural and manmade disasters. In the aftermath of tragedies ranging from bushfires in Australia, to a deadly explosion in Lebanon, and devastating hurricanes in Central America, World Central Kitchen has served more than 50 million fresh meals to people impacted by crises around the globe.
During COVID-19, World Central Kitchen recruited thousands of restaurants and kitchens to help feed marginalized and vulnerable communities as well as the courageous medical professionals on the front lines.
