If you ask me, every houseplant deserves to sit in a planter that’s as functional as it is stylish. Luckily, you don’t need to worry about finding a fancy plant store and shelling out tons of money to build out an aesthetically pleasing home jungle. For instance, Trader Joe’s just introduced an array of adorable animal-shaped succulent planters for all of your low-stress plant decor needs.

Instagram content creator @traderjoesnew shouted out the find in a June 2 post rounding up recent Trader Joe’s additions, writing, “I’m loving the cute animal parade plants.”

In the video, they pan over the planters, which are modeled after several different animals: owl, elephant, hedgehog, cat, turtle. If you wanted to, you could create an entire succulent zoo in your windowsill! And it won’t break the bank to do so, either; each one is $5.99.

The video also shows that the fan-favorite bespectacled planter is back, and it comes with a fern inside. The adorable houseplant is $7.99, and will add instant joy to your home.

As Trader Joe’s official website points out, succulents are “the optimal plants for gardeners on the go,” so they’re a good choice for experienced gardeners and first-time plant parents alike. Still, there are some handy rules to stick to when it comes to taking care of them.

Because succulent death by over-watering is much more common than death by under-watering, we recommend making sure your succulents’ soil is totally dry before watering them. When it comes to caring for succulents in smaller planters like Trader Joe’s animal planters, watering them once a week is a good rule of thumb.

In terms of sunlight, aim to give your succulents a half day to a full day of sunlight, although if you live in a particularly hot climate, they’ll do best with some afternoon shade.
