Trader Joe’s Fans Are Calling Its Newest Treat a '10/10'
Imagine taking a trip to your favorite local ice cream parlor—you know, the one that makes that fantastic Brown Butter Almond Brittle flavor you can’t stop dreaming about—and just as you’re about to order, you hear the person ahead of you say, “No ice cream please, just the cone.” The shock, the horror! What kind of person goes to an ice cream shop and doesn’t actually get any ice cream? The answer? A person who dances to the beat of their own drum regardless of what society says about how they should enjoy ice cream; the kind of person who shops at Trader Joe’s.
Of course, there’s no rule that says you have to order ice cream at an ice cream shop, and if Trader Joe’s has anything to say about it, you might be asking for just the cone (or at least the tips) soon enough. The chain known for its legendary Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones, among other incredible products, just dropped another instant fan-favorite that shoppers are calling “10/10.” And you can enjoy it sans ice cream melting all over your shirt.
Now, you can satisfy your “just the cone” cravings without feeling judged, thanks to Trader Joe’s new Hold the Cone Tips. The delicious new snack is essentially a conical cookie shaped like the angular tip of a waffle cone, filled with a nugget of smooth dark chocolate—just like you would find in the treat that inspired this crave-worthy snack. Enjoying it is as simple as popping a handful (or two) into your mouth, eating them like cereal covered with milk, or using them as dippers for the equally delicious Cannoli Dip. You could even go super-meta and enjoy them on top of a scoop of your favorite ice cream or frozen custard—perched atop a waffle cone, of course.
Word of the treat’s launch didn’t take long to hit the web, and fans understandably can’t get enough. A post shared by @traderjoesobsessed on Instagram gave fans a glimpse at the new sweet, and some are saying, “Eating the entire bag would be too easy!”
If the comments section is your litmus test, you might want to hurry and make a trip to your nearest TJ’s to grab a box. At just $4 a pop, we’re sure these won’t last long on shelves. And at a price that low, you’ll definitely want to grab at least two just in case the first box doesn’t make it all the way home.
