Trader Joe's Super Fans Say They Can't Go a Week Without Buying This Freezer Fave
The Trader Joe's frozen section makes life so much easier. The delicious, pre-made foods take the fuss out of cooking without skimping on flavor. The Mandarin Orange Chicken is a classic, and people shamelessly hoard the Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese that drops to much fanfare each fall. And then there are the treats, like the Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches are reportedly "life-changing."
And now Reddit is at it again with another must-try freezer find at Trader Joe's. This time, the Internet is giving the Thai Vegetable Gyoza a standing ovation.
It started with one fan's ringing endorsement.

"I love these so much," wrote u/No-Understanding4968. "They don’t even need a dipping sauce. They’re so tantalizingly sweet, savory and delicious. When I eat something else, I literally wish I was eating these instead. I’m not even vegetarian, but I’m obsessed. Your thoughts?"

For the uninitiated, the Thai Vegetable Gyoza at Trader Joe's are crescent-shaped dumplings made from wheat flour and packed with veggies. Think white cabbage, chive, white radish, onion and carrots. You'll also note just enough ginger, garlic and soy sauce to add some flavor without overwhelming the dish. They're fully cooked and frozen, leaving room for the home cook to prep and serve as they wish—steam, pan fry, air fry, microwave or add the dumplings to a savory soup. Anything goes, really.
In the Reddit thread, others shared their favorite ways to heat and enjoy the Thai Vegetable Gyoza. Unsurprisingly, air frying, microwaving, steaming and cooking in a cast iron skillet all came up. Others got more specific.
"[I] pan-fry to get a crunchy crust," wrote one person. "Then, [I] throw a little water in the pan, cover, and steam [them] for five minutes."
"I eat these every week with a homemade peanut sauce," said another, who sadly did not respond to requests from fellow Redditors to spill the secret sauce recipe. "[They're] my absolute favorite item from TJ — can't live without it."
"I love, love them with some sweet chili sauce, but you’re right that they’re still great on their own," someone else commented.
"I love these," shared a Redditor. "They go great in the miso broth — one of my favorite quick soups."

"Even though I live alone, I buy them two packages at a time," one poster said.
"[I'm] not a shrimp, chicken or pork eater, so these never disappoint," noted someone else.
However, meat eaters would go vegetarian just for the Thai Vegetable Gyoza at Trader Joe's.
"These are so great," gushed a poster. "I'm not veggie, but these are my preferred gyoza and [in my opinion] way, way, way better than the meat ones."
In short, fans can't live without the Thai Vegetable Gyoza and hope they never have to.
