The Terre Haute Children’s Museum will hold its 10th annual Train Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 27.

Cintrak Model Railroad Club and several individuals will have train layouts on display at the museum. The Wabash Valley Railroaders Museum and the National Model Railroad Association will also be present to share information. Layouts will include model trains of various sizes with detailed scenery, realistic figures and elaborate structures.

Children can participate in a hands-on science experiment with train wheels to discover how their special shape helps keep the train on the track through curves. They can also test their hand at building their own rail with wooden tracks.
