Travis Kelce Clarifies Who His ‘Bold’ Post-Touchdown Heart Sign Was Actually For
Travis Kelce
Kansas City Chiefs fans and Swifties alike were ecstatic with all the action going on at Sunday's football game versus the Buffalo Bills, especially when Taylor Swift's beau Travis Kelce threw up a hand heart after scoring a big touchdown.
But now, Travis is clarifying who the heart was really meant for, and it wasn't Swift.
On the Wednesday, Jan. 24, episode of Travis' podcast with his brother Jason, New Heights, the football star talked about the memorable moment. Jason pointed out how "the celebration went wild by you with a little heart."
Travis declared, "Had to spread the love, baby! You always got to spread that love!"
"There was a lot of hate pulling up to that stadium," he explained, saying that it was "understandable... coming into [the Bills' house], they want to make it rowdy. Did it get a little disrespectful? 1000 percent."
Jason seemed confused, not having noticed that himself, but all Travis said was that there were some comments from fans about the Kelces and quarterback Patrick Mahomes, in particular, but he noted, "I'm not gonna say it, because that's what they want."
Instead, Travis decided to bring some positive vibes for everyone in the stadium with the heart, declaring directly to the fans in question that "it wasn't mutual. I don't hate you guys like you hate us. It's all love, baby."
In Jason's opinion, they seemed to get the memo, as he responded, "They don't hate us. I was with them, they love you!" leading Travis to hint that they would be talking about Jason's energetic behavior at the game later on.
For anyone who missed it, Jason was very vocal and animated at the Chiefs-Bills game, even taking his shirt off and screaming after Travis scored a touchdown. People loved the fun moment, and Jason even helped a little girl's dream to meet Swift come true.
