Travis Kelce Finally Addresses Bye Week Plans Ahead of Taylor Swift's Argentina Concerts
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
Travis Kelce is finally addressing his Bye Week plans for himself, weeks after rumors spread about spending it in Argentina with Taylor Swift.
Leading into the one week off the Kansas City Chiefs get this season, the tight end and his brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce, chatted about their plans on the Nov. 8 episode of their podcast, New Heights, as the Philly-based star "ironically" shares the same off-time before the two teams take one another on.
An anonymous source previously assured Entertainment Tonight that Travis had every intention of supporting his all-but-official girlfriend during the first weekend of the international leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour, but he's being a bit more coy about his plans, hedging that he "never like[s] to plan things” for the brief breaks other than "getting this body right."
The 34-year-old "got a little bit more banged up this week" than he'd hoped for, going on to point out that "you just don’t know how healthy you’re gonna be or how you’re gonna feel whether you’re winning or losing” by the time the mid-season reprieve comes around.
“I’m not trying to go and f-----g be out and about if we’re out here losing,” he continued. That being said, the team is doing pretty well this year, currently sitting at a "fortunate" 7-2 set of wins.
While he says his only intention is to “get as healthy as possible going into arguably the biggest game … on the schedule”—the "family reunion game," as Jason dubbed it—Travis has made it clear that he plans to keep his personal relationship personal, suggesting that, while he's not shy about being seen with the superstar, he won't be dishing all the details.
Meanwhile, Swift has officially touched down in the South American country, where she kicks off the first of three consecutive shows on Nov. 9—meaning we won't have to wait for much longer to see if Travis was just diverting attention or if he's actually laying low during Bye Week.
