Travis Kelce Has Hilarious Reaction to Old, Misspelled Tweets Going Viral
Travis Kelce had quite a week after Taylor Swift fans decided to dig up his old tweets and (rather than something problematic) largely found enthusiastic statements riddled with spelling errors.
Although the incident caused one co-host of The View to call him "illiterate" and an "idiot," it largely endeared the public to him even further. During his weekly appearance on the New Heights podcast alongside his brother Jason, Travis reflected on getting clowned by Twitter and reviewed some of the best resurfaced tweets.
"What's hilarious is nobody followed me back then and I was just using Twitter as a diary," he said. "I am just out here saying nonsense. 'I just gave a squirle [sic] a piece of bread' and spelled squirrel like a jackass."
He also commented on a fan-favorite where he evidently went to Olive Garden with his dad and used the phrase "schmackin."
"Olive Garden was one of my favorites," he reflected. "Olive Garden, Red Lobster. I could go there right now and fuck my stomach up. Absolutely house those cheddar biscuits, a little shrimp linguini, some chicken alfredo."
Kelce noted that he largely flew under the radar with his first attempt at singing alongside his brother on their new Billboard Hot 100 hit "Fairytale of Philadelphia," and said this was a karmic balance of sorts.
"Nobody torched me for the singing. I got my fix for this one. I was getting lit up left and right, this shit was the best," he said.
