Travis Kelce Might Be Your Next TV Game Show Host
Travis Kelce
Travis Kelce is still very much an active member of the NFL. However, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is reportedly in talks to host a game show—potentially paving the way for a seamless sports-to-entertainment transition when he decides to retire.
On Tuesday, March 19, Variety reported that Kelce is currently in discussions to host a reboot of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? with a twist. Instead of kids being the focus, however, the game show would be centered on celebrities. Reportedly, the game show revival would stream on Prime Video.
It wouldn't be Kelce's first foray into TV outside of the NFL. In March 2023, he hosted Saturday Night Live. And in 2016, the tight end starred in a reality dating series called Catching Kelce. He also hosts the wildly-popular podcast, New Heights, with his older brother, Jason Kelce.
Bringing Kelce onto a game show would make sense, business-wise, too. Since he and Taylor Swift went public with their relationship in fall 2023, the NFL star's fame has grown exponentially. The tight end's proximity to the "Cruel Summer" singer would likely help lure viewers.

During a Jan. 12 press conference, Kelce opened up about his post-retirement aspirations while noting he has "no desire to stop anytime soon.”
“I’ve been fortunate to do a few things outside of the sports world that I’ve been enjoying doing, like getting on camera,” Kelce said. “The SNL stuff kind of opened up a new happiness and maybe a new career path for me.”
Whether or not the Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader? talks pan out for Kelce, one thing is for sure: A future in the entertainment realm is within reach.
