What Travis Kelce Really Thinks of His Viral Resurfaced Tweets

Travis Kelce had an eventful week—not only did his NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in a brother-vs.-brother matchup, but his tweets from years ago went viral online. Recently, Travis shared what he really thinks of his viral resurfaced tweets.

On his podcast New Heights, a joint venture between the tight end and his Eagles star older brother, Jason Kelce, Jason opened up about the unexpected attention his tweets attracted.

"Let's talk about maybe the biggest news from the past week," Jason said on the Nov. 22 episode of their podcast. "And that's the Travis Kelce tweets, circa 2009 to 2011."

After a knowing laugh, Travis offered his reaction to the situation.

"What's hilarious is that nobody followed me back then, and I was just using Twitter as like a diary," Travis said. "I'm just out here just saying nonsense."

Travis addressed one of his more memorable tweets from this era that read: "I just gave squirrle a piece of bread, and it straight smashed all of it!!!! I had no idea they ate bread like that!! Haha #crazy."

The tight end acknowledged that he "spelled squirrel like a jacka--."

Meanwhile, Jason loved the alternate spelling, teasing, "First of all, that's the new spelling for squirrel. I'm only spelling squirrel like that from now on...I don't know why it's spelled the other way."

Another Twitter post fans loved was, "NAP TIME!" but with too many exclamation points to count.

"Nap time's a classic," Travis said.

Jason agreed, "Who doesn't love nap time?"

"This is why I don't tweet anymore because it's just nonsense," Travis said, laughing.

As for Taylor Swift's boyfriend's favorite resurfaced tweet?

"This funniest one is this f--king teacher one," he said, to which Jason read the post aloud: "sooo this teacher tried to call on me in class like i wasn't paying attention, well i was and i didn't fold under pressure, DUB."

Overall, Travis was a good sport about getting roasted for his old Twitter activity.

"Nobody torched me for the singing," Travis said, referencing his and Jason's Christmas song "Fairytale of Philadelphia," which hit No. 1 on iTunes. "I got my fix for this one."
