Travis Kelce Shows Off His Impressive Dance Moves During Charity Event
Travis Kelce
For Travis Kelce, sometimes life is a football field and sometimes it's a dance floor.
The tight end took the proverbial stage at a recent charity event hosted by the NFL star himself. In a new video uploaded to Instagram by the Kansas City Current and the National Women's Soccer League, Kelce appeared front and center during a lip sync battle sponsored by his Eighty-Seven & Running foundation, based on a sign propped up in the background.
The clip started with members of the soccer team, who were wearing gray Ignition Lab sweatshirts, dancing to Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" led by midfielder Lo'eau LaBonta.
It then flashed to Kelce standing among several others in red versions of the same sweatshirt, going absolutely feral to Aretha Franklin's "Respect." He even put his hands on his knees and dropped into a twerk at one point before sweetly pulling two members of the crowd up to dance with them, launching into a disco-style dance. At the end, he even high-fived himself in celebration.
Kelce's charity strives to support the underserved youth of his hometown and beyond. He partnered up with Operation Breakthrough, which holds a similar mission to "provide a safe, loving and educational environment for children in poverty and to empower their families through advocacy, emergency aid and education." But they only served kids through eighth grade, so they launched Ignition Lab, which created a space for teens from 14 to 18 to explore careers in STEM.
Today, Kelce hosts Celebrity Challenge events benefiting Operation Breakthrough and the Ignition Lab, which are like playing a gameshow in real life, as teams take on a variety of challenges led by a celebrity team leader, according to a previous flyer.
