Travis Kelce Skips the Eras Tour in Favor of Another Event

Fans waited with bated breath all evening on Nov. 9 to see if the rumors about Travis Kelce traveling to Argentina to see Taylor Swift were true, but it turns out, he had other plans.

Don't get mad, though, because his absence was for a very good reason; Kelce stayed behind in Kansas City to attend the Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes' annual charity event, the annual 15 and the Mahomies Foundation Gala.

Founded in 2019, 15 and the Mahomies is "dedicated to improving the lives of children through initiatives that focus on health, wellness, underserved communities and other charitable causes," according to their website.

In a video shared on the foundation's Instagram Story, Kelce could be seen standing from his table and waving at the cheering crowd after he was announced as “the all-time leading receiver in Kansas City Chiefs history.”

“@killatrav in the building!” they wrote over the clip. “Huge thanks for all your support ??.”

Conflicting reports left fans uncertain about the possibility of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end flying to South America during the team's Bye Week. An anonymous source initially claimed Kelce had his sights set on a weekend trip, telling Entertainment Tonight that the beloved couple "are all in" and "very serious about their careers," bonding with one another over them. "[They] want to show support for each other whenever they can," the insider claimed.

But on the Bye Week episode of his podcast New Heights, clearly recorded ahead of time, Kelce alluded to remaining close to home. "You just don’t know how healthy you’re gonna be or how you’re gonna feel whether you’re winning or losing,” he explained. “I’m not trying to go and f-----g be out and about if we’re out here losing.”

Anyone following along at home knows the team is far from losing at the moment, plus, the weekend's not over yet; Kelce still has two more nights to make his way to Estadio Monumental—as Swift is performing again on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11—before he has to get ready to take on his brother Jason Kelce the next week.
