Travis Kelce Spotted Lunching With a Friend as Taylor Swift Rocks Chiefs Attire in Australia
Travis Kelce is finding ways to stay busy while Taylor Swift is taking Australia by storm.
While it’s yet to be seen if Kelce will hop on a flight and join his girlfriend in Sydney to support the international leg of her Eras Tour, he’s currently taking some time to himself after dominating headlines with not only his relationship but his third Super Bowl win after beating the San Francisco 49ers just last week.
Kelce was spotted back in Kansas City grabbing lunch with a friend on Saturday before hopping into his Rolls Royce and driving away.
If his attire is anything to go by, he was seemingly trying to fly under the radar by wearing a brown sweatsuit with black Nike Air Uptempo shoes and a black baseball cap. His game-winning facial hair also remained intact. He previously told his brother, Jason Kelce, during the Feb. 8 episode of their podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce that he plays better when he grows his beard out.
“It’s also an ode just to the ups and downs of the season," he explained, adding that it’s also an ode to his hockey days, and noting that he hasn’t shaved since before the Christmas holiday.
Understandably, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end wants to decompress after the winning season, which was plagued by tragedy as the celebratory Super Bowl parade ended in a shooting that killed one and injured more than 20, including several children.
Not only did Kelce and Swift donate funds to the victims of the shooting, but he also sent a heartfelt message to everyone affected, alongside his team and teammate Patrick Mahomes.
As for when fans can expect a reunion between the NFL’er and the popstar, it might happen sooner than you think, as Kelce previously hinted that he could be heading Down Under during a post-Super Bowl episode of the podcast, stating that he would “venture to an island real soon” and adding that the best ones just happen to be “south” of the US.
Kelce deserves a well-earned holiday, and he still has time to make it to Sydney, Australia, as Swift doesn’t kick off her shows until Friday, Feb. 23.
Her heart also seems to be aching for the beau amid the 17-hour time difference as she was recently spotted wearing her Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Champions cap and her diamond “TNT” tennis bracelet—a gift from Kelce that includes both of their initials—while boarding her private jet in Melbourne.
And if he wants to see her at any point this year, travel is likely going to have to be involved as she’s got a jam-packed schedule with six shows in Singapore heading into March before continuing throughout Europe in Paris, France, Stockholm, Sweden, the UK and more.
