How Travis Kelce's Chiefs Teammates React When Their DJ Plays Taylor Swift During Practice
L: Taylor Swift, R: Travis Kelce
The Kansas City Chiefs are undeniably like a family, according to Drue Tranquill, who's dishing on the way the team treats Travis Kelce whenever hearing a Taylor Swift song play.
In a new interview with CBS Sports Radio's Zach Gelb, the Chiefs linebacker opened up about the shift in team culture since the tight end began dating the "Fearless" songstress.
The Chiefs were already the talk of the town, but their popularity exploded once the couple went public in Sept. 2023, with viewership markedly increasing. The team isn't letting it go to their heads, though, nor are they getting too wrapped up in Kelce's viral personal life, as Tranquill told Gelb that the energy in the locker room hasn't changed.

"It's interesting, you know, you don't really feel it and hear too much of it inside the locker room," he explained. But there are rare moments out on the field where they're able to offer a bit of brotherly teasing.
"It'll be moments like at practice where our DJ turns on a Taylor Swift song and everybody kind of, you know, jokes about it." But more often than not, the bulk of the conversation stems from "the wives and the girlfriends."
"I hear about it more when I go home than I do actually in the building," he said. But, wherever it's coming into play, he calls it "something to celebrate; something fun."
"You know we enjoy poking fun at Travis, but seems like maybe they're in love, man," he continued. "They got, really, something going and we enjoy having her at our games."
Her presence, he said, "brings a lot of energy and a lot of fun to our fans," which is "good for business, good for football, and good for the NFL."
