Travis Kelce's Ex Cuts Ties With Brittany and Patrick Mahomes Amid Taylor Swift News
While Travis Kelce's ex Maya Benberry, whom he shortly dated in 2016, has been outspoken after rumors started about his potential romance with Taylor Swift, his ex Kayla Nicole didn't appear to react in any way—until now.
It seems Kayla recently unfollowed Travis' teammate and close friend, Patrick Mahomes, as well as his wife, Brittany, and his brother, Jackson, on Instagram. Kayla, who dated Travis on and off between 2017 and 2022, was reportedly once close with the Mahomes couple and company.
And, as of this week, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and wife still followed Kayla on the social media app. It's unclear why Kayla unfollowed the family, but both Patrick and Brittany have been seen hanging out with the "Karma" singer at Kansas City Chiefs games and an afterparty.
Kayla, who is a model and sports commentator, allegedly first connected with Travis on Instagram, and the two dated until their initial split in 2020. They got back together that November, breaking up again in early 2022.
While Kayla was with Travis, she was often seen cheering for the football team beside Brittany, and she even went wedding dress shopping with her and attended her bachelorette weekend.
When the romance rumors between Travis and Taylor started up at the start of September, the football player's other ex, Maya, gained attention for her comments about him.
While speaking with the Daily Mail, she shared a bit of advice with the singer, saying that, based on "the man that I knew him to be when we dated," she should be "smart." Maya added, "Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater."
Although the chart topper has attended two of Travis' football games, as well as an afterparty with him, the two have not publicly confirmed any romantic relationship.
