Trellis Brewing to open this weekend in Smoketown. Here's what to know
A new brewery is opening in Louisville this weekend.
Trellis Brewing, the 10,000-square-foot brewery in the Smoketown neighborhood, is set to start pouring craft beers on Friday, following more than a year of work and several delays.
Grand opening festivities will kick off Friday, June 21, from 3-9 p.m. at Trellis, 827 Logan St., and continue Saturday and Sunday.
"We're excited to celebrate with you and thankful for all the helping hands we’ve already had come through the brewery," reads a post on the brewery's Facebook page. "Kids, dogs on leashes, and outside food all welcome! We have amazing indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy a beer with friends and community. Swing by and share a big ol’ cheers with us this weekend."
Trellis comes from co-owners Ryan Reed and Kyle Jahn, who previously told the Courier Journal they hope to host live music and other events in the future.
The pair previously said they’ll offer low-ABV lagers, “big bad stouts” and “hop-forward killer IPAs."
“We want this to be a place where you don’t just sit for one beer and want to get out of there,” Jahn told the Courier Journal. “We want everyone to feel welcome and included.”
