The Try Guys Say Firing Ned Fulmer After His Cheating Scandal Felt "Like a Breakup"
The Try Guys are opening about about the aftermath of Ned Fulmer's cheating scandal—and what it was like parting ways with their long-time collaborator. Following the release of a YouTube video titled "what happened," Try Guys members Keith Habersberger and Zach Kornfeld released a podcast episode saying that Ned will "never" work with them again after cheating on his wife with an employee.
Per Page Six, Keith and Zach were asked “if this hadn’t gone public, is there a world where Ned would have come back and was a cast member,” and both of them said "no." Keith then explained “Look, what happened, it betrayed our trust, it was a workplace violation. It would mean to all the people in the office who knew what they knew […] that we weren’t being true to who we said we are in our values."
He added, "Very simply, he would have been removed. It would not have been this public spectacle, we would have tried to avoid that for the sake of the other people involved but it happened how it happened.” Zach then noted that “We want that to be expressed via the leadership from Keith, Eugene [Lee Yang] and myself, into the values of our company."
The pair also said that the experience of placing Ned under review and ultimately firing him “felt like a breakup.”
It's unclear what's next for Ned (both professionally and personally), but he released a statement after news of the cheating scandal broke, saying he's focusing on his marriage and family. “Family should have always been my priority, but I lost focus and had a consensual workplace relationship," he said. "I’m sorry for any pain that my actions may have caused to the guys and the fans but most of all to Ariel. The only thing that matters right now is my marriage and my children, and that’s where I am going to focus my attention.”
