Matt Donald from Bachelor in Paradise is the definition of a sweet little angel baby. If you forgot, he’s literally the dude who showed up to Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette on a tractor, singing his own remix of “Old McDonald.” In fact, he’s almost too pure. He spent most of last night’s episode sweating (like, literally sweating bullets) a kiss with Sydney. The little chicken nugget was nervous that his mother would see and disapprove of him smoochin’ it up on national television.

Finally, after receiving enough pep talks to win an Olympic event, cure the common cold, and resurrect the dinosaurs, Matt kissed Sydney. Sure, this might seem like an uninteresting event in a reality series full of steamy make-out sessions, but the producers really went out of their way to make it a whole moment. It was truly...something. If you missed it, you can catch the most epic 20 seconds in Bachelor franchise history right here.

On Twitter, Matt initially seemed a little confused by the National Geographic–inspired montage. But he came around to it eventually. He even posted an Instagram Story that said, “Not going to lie, that montage was what I have been waiting for in life,” so...it seems like the kid had a blast.

It’s probs safe to assume that the kiss was at least decent, because Sydney thinks he deserves a round of applause.

Anyway, the whole spectacle truly rattled the internet. Here are some of the most hilarious reactions to the wildest moment ABC has given us since that damn windmill.

Now, before we get carried away with praising Matt for finally taking the kiss plunge, we need a little reality check. Let’s not forget that shortly after agonizing over his decision to kiss or not kiss Sydney, he went on a date with Bri and IMMEDIATELY made out with her! The general consensus here is: what the hell, Matt?

I guess that’s just Bachelor in Paradise for you. Seriously, in a place where people get engaged after a few weeks of sipping margaritas together, anything can happen.
