The two pop stars were joined by rappers Bad Bunny and J Balvin for the powerhouse performance.
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira simultaneously pulled out all of the stops for the Super Bowl LIV halftime show Sunday night, and Twitter was quick to quip on the performance from the two music megastars.
Shakira pulled the ultimate power move by opening the show with her fan-favorite track "She Wolf," while Lopez entered on an Empire State Building sculpture as she sang "Jenny from the Block." J.Lo later turned heads with a pole dancing routine, à la her lauded role in the film Hustlers, while singing "Waiting for Tonight."
Puerto Rican megastar rapper Bad Bunny joined Shakira for a duet of his collaboration with Cardi B, "I Like It," while Lopez and Colombian music giant J Balvin performed a remixed version of the global hit "Mi Gente."
Between star-studded surprise appearances, a flawless setlist, and an unapologetic presence of Latinx pride (including J.Lo rocking a feather Puerto Rican flag cape—we stan!), we have a feeling Lopez and Shakira's Super Bowl show will be a musical moment that won't soon be forgotten.
