Holiday season is just around the corner, and that means spending time with loved ones, sharing memories and enjoying festive treats! While classics like Reese’s Christmas trees and red-and-green M&M’s are seasonal staples, Twizzlers is bringing some extra excitement with a brand-new holiday candy offering this year. Here’s everything you need to know about Twizzlers’ Christmas-inspired sweets and other fun holiday candies arriving soon.

Twizzlers adds cherry-flavored Christmas trees to the holiday lineup

Twizzlers love joining holiday festivities, and this winter, they’re adding a Christmas tree to the mix. With ghost-shaped candy for Halloween and bunnies for Easter, this is Twizzlers' first venture into the Christmas candy market.

The brand describes the chewy holiday treat as “bursting with bold cherry flavor,” and they come in a bite-sized shape that is great for sharing with family and friends. These festive trees are similar in flavor and gumminess to Twizzler bits or nibs, and the snowy bag will surely get anyone in the holiday spirit.

While the new gummy trees are perfect for the holidays, Twizzlers has another surprise up their sleeve. Joining the trees this year will be a new candy rope flavor: Merry Berry Punch Twists. They look the same as the beloved strawberry and cherry twists but are green in color and blueberry and blue raspberry flavored instead. Since they come in a king-size package, there will be plenty to enjoy during holiday decorating or relaxing movie marathons.

What you need to know about the Twizzler Trees

Both holiday treats are expected to be available in stores in mid-November. However, we don't blame you if you want to try them now! Five Below sells a 7.1-oz. bag of Twizzler trees for $3.50 that you can order online. To find out where you can get them in-store, keep checking Hershey’s website, as they’ll have the most up-to-date information.

The trees are a limited edition shape for the holidays, and it’s unknown how long they’ll be available. So, get them while you can, or enjoy other fun holiday treats in the meantime.

Other holiday candies are coming soon

Twizzlers aren’t the only ones with new treats this season. In a September 17 Instagram post from food blogger Snackolator, they revealed several exciting holiday candies to try.

“There are some great new holiday candy releases coming this year and if we're lucky they'll start showing up fairly soon,” the caption read. “All of these are set to hit stores for the holidays including the new Reese's Sugar Cookie Big Cups, Toast Holiday Peanut M&M's, and check out those Twizzlers TREES!”

Other festive treats include red and green nerd gummy clusters and hostess-cake-flavored candy canes.

Reese’s cups are getting the holiday treatment

Holiday shapes and Reese’s peanut butter cups go hand in hand, but the beloved chocolate peanut butter brand decided to switch things up a bit this year. Instead of a new shape, you can now get a Reese’s Sugar Cookie Big Cup.

Each peanut butter cup will have chunks of sugar cookies mixed into the peanut butter. Sugar cookies are a holiday staple, so seeing this combination come to light is not surprising. While the sugar cookie flavor is marketed to the big cup, it will be available in Reese’s miniatures, regular and king sizes.

Fans' reactions to the new holiday candies

If you have a sweet tooth, these new treats are perfect for you, but fans online have plenty of thoughts regarding the candies, especially for the Twizzler trees.

“We are here for the Twizzler trees,” one person commented. Another wrote, “Oddly excited for the twizzler trees.”Opposing the Twizzler launch, someone said, “Who really wants the twizzlers tho?”

People also noted that nerds differ only in color, not flavor, and are mainly wondering when they’ll be able to purchase and consume all these festive foods.
