Tyler Cameron Posted a Ton of Thoughts About His Ex Hannah Brown Saying the N-Word
Tyler Cameron posted a lengthy reaction to his ex girlfriend Hannah Brown saying the N-word on Instagram Live.
Tyler said "This is bigger than HB. This is a societal problem."
Over the weekend, Bachelorette Hannah Brown said the N-word during an Instagram Live and followed it up with one of the more disappointing celebrity apologies in recent memory. Hannah has since taken it to Instagram Stories to post a more genuine apology, but her fellow Bachelor Nation stars are unimpressed by her behavior, and several have used their platforms to call it out.
Rachel Lindsay says she spoke to Hannah "directly" and asked her to issue an on-camera apology (Hannah did not do so), while Hannah's ex-boyfriend Tyler Cameron hit Instagram stories to share his thoughts.
First, Tyler re-posted Rachel's Instagram video saying "Rachel hit the nail on the head. Y'all need to look at the comments. We have a long ways to go on this issue and a lot of learn. If you find yourself getting defensive, you are part of the problem."
Tyler inevitably got some iffy replies from people defending Hannah, and added "This is not about dragging HB. This is about using your platform for reasons like this. So we can educate those who don't get it. This is bigger than HB. This is a societal problem."
Tyler was then accused of "going against" Hannah Brown, and replied "Those that say that it's part of the song and that they can sing it are so out of touch. HB is not a racist. I know. But blaming the rap artist is not the answer. Educate yourself and listen to what Rachel has to say about the word Bitch and hopefully it'll start to click for you."
He then added, "In these moments you have the opportunity to burry [sic] someone or lift them up. We need to lift HB up from this. She is learning and growing just like every single one of us. Love rids hate. Hate only makes more hate. Let's learn and lift each other up with love."
