Tyler Cameron's Favorite Things to Do on Your Next Trip to Jupiter, Florida

Tyler Cameron burst onto the scene (and into our hearts) when he debuted on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette as an oh-so-attractive general contractor. He may not have walked away with the final rose, but he did manage to score himself plenty of fans (and a few dates with model Gigi Hadid!)

Following his time on The Bachelorette, Cameron up and moved to New York City. "I love New York City, but I learned that New York City is a great place for me to hang for a weekend and not for a long time," he told Parade exclusively.

After a brief stint in NYC, he packed up and headed back to his hometown of Jupiter, Florida. "Jupiter is just such a healthy place for me. It's a happy place for me. I have the water next to me," Cameron, 31, explained. "It's just nice to come back to a place that's quiet, calm and beautiful."

The Jupiter native loves his hometown and cherishes his Florida upbringing. "I feel like I went to the greatest high school ever. Everyone hung out and partied on boats and everything. We always had these great sandbar parties," he shared with Parade. "It was a very cool boat town to grow up. And, you know, every one of us every weekend was like, how do we get on the water?"

Now, six years after his Bachelorette debut, Cameron is back on screen with a show of his own on Prime Video, Going Home with Tyler Cameron. The series follows Cameron as he starts his own construction company and works to renovate his mother's home after her unexpected passing in 2020.

Season 1 of Going Home featured none other than Cameron's Bachelorette ex, Hannah Brown. Bringing her on the show was a sort of "full circle" moment, he says. On their date to the roller derby, Cameron joked with Brown that they could be the next Chip and Joanna Gaines, thanks to Brown's interior design skills and Cameron's construction background. "She didn't want to do that," he joked. "But it was always like a dream, you know?"

These days, Tyler Cameron is taking a moment to figure out what's next. "I've kind of been recharging the batteries a little bit and kind of regrouping, and figuring out what projects I want to take on and whatnot," he said.

Best Things to Do in Jupiter, Florida, If You’ve Only Got 5 Hours

1. Head to Love Street

"Love Street is where it all goes down in Jupiter. It's essentially our downtown," Cameron said.

Love Street is made up of a few waterfront bars and restaurants with a laid back Floridian atmosphere. If you're looking to find your inner vacation persona, Love Street is the epitome of "it's 5 o'clock somewhere." Seriously! It's home to Square Grouper, the restaurant and bar where Alan Jackson filmed the music video for his vacation anthem.

2. Rent the PonTiki Boat

A party boat? Yes, please! The PonTiki boat is a combination of a pontoon and a tiki bar and it's definitely bringing the tropical vibes. "It hits all the the best spots on the water," Cameron says, making it a great way to see a good portion of the city, even if you have limited time,

PonTiki offers public and private cruises as well as speciality rides at sunset or in the moonlight. And if you really want to amp up your evening, you can partake in their karaoke cruise. Feels like the perfect time to sing some Jimmy Buffet on the water, if you ask us.

3. Check Out Some Celeb Homes

Jupiter Island is home to quite a few celebrities, including golf icons Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka and tennis superstar Venus Williams. Needless to say, it's quite fancy! Tyler Cameron recommends chartering a boat to take a peek at the lifestyle of the rich and the famous.

4. Enjoy Some Seafood

Being right on the water, it's no surprise that Jupiter, Florida, has some pretty top tier seafood options. These are some of Tyler's favorites for every occasion:

Best First Date Spot: 2 Vinez

Why Tyler Cameron is a fan: "It's, like, a sushi wine spot. It's the kind of seating there where you've got to kind of, like, snuggle up next to each other on a couch, you know? So it's a good intimate spot."

Best Sushi Restaurant: Koon Manee

For the lucky ladies that make it beyond a first date with Tyler Cameron, they'll be treated to his real favorite sushi spot, Koon Manee. "[Koon Manee] isn't as fancy, but this is where we get the good sushi."

Best Hidden Gem: Hog Snappers

"If you're local, you know what it is. If you're out of towners, you might miss it," he says.

Hog Snappers features a big tiki-style bar and, you guessed it, seafood! Tyler's go-to order here is the poke bowl. "I think [Hog Snappers] has the best poke bowl I've ever had. It's amazing. The spicy tuna poke bowl is fantastic."

Best Spot for Ultra-Fresh Seafood: Little Moir's Food Shack

Why Tyler Cameron is a fan: "They take the really, really fresh seafood that they get, and they put a very fun twist to it," he says. "Their food is just incredible."

The food is so good, in fact, that Tyler can't pick just one favorite item from the menu. His top three orders include the sweet potato crusted fish he claims is "unreal," the panko fried oysters and the crunchy basil tuna roll.

Best Spots for Casual Waterside Fare: Lucky Shuck, Topside and Square Grouper

All located along the famous Love Street, Lucky Shuck, Topside and Square Grouper are all options for those on the hunt for a tropical cocktail or beer while overlooking the water.

5. See the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

The bright, coral-colored Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse was built way back in 1860. "We have a beautiful lighthouse," The Bachelorette runner-up says.

Cameron recommends a visit to the lighthouse as a fun, free activity in Jupiter, Florida. "You can see the beach," he says. "You can look in down the intercoastal, and see all of Jupiter."

6. Hang Out at Riverbend Park

For those seeking a smidge more adventure, Cameron recommends a trip to Riverbend Park. This is another fun, free activity in the area, but with a bit of a change of scenery. "It's more upriver, and you can take kayaks," Cameron says.

It's also a spot to catch a glimpse of wildlife. "You'll see gators. You'll see more of like that, like, Everglades-type beauty. So it's a lot different than what you would see on the coast, but it's, like, all within 15 minutes of each other."
