The U.S. Postal Service is Offering the First Scratch-and-Sniff Popsicle Stamps

Get ready to seal your snail mail with the sweet scent of summer as the U.S Postal Service just announced their first ever scratch-and-sniff stamps.

Featuring the work of California-based designer, Margaret Berg, the watercolor illustrations will feature all your favorite icy treats from rainbow pops to chocolatey delights. The set includes a total of 10 First-Class Mail Forever stamp designs, designed by U.S. Postal Service art director Antonia Alcalá and designer Leslie Badani, who has helped create U.S. commemorative stamps since 2011.

As for the exact secret scent-there will be one for the entire set-you'll have to wait until to official unveiling ceremony on June 20 to see, err, smell, what it is. Classic fruit flavors, like kiwi, watermelon, berries, and oranges have been hinted at, according to the press releases. (Anyone else dreaming of Creamsicles?) The delicious debut event will take place at Thinkery Children's Museum in Austin, Texas, and is free and open to the public.
