Ugg Taps NewJeans’ Hanni as Global Ambassador
Ugg has announced Hanni of K-pop group NewJeans as its newest global ambassador. The singer made her debut for the brand in a new campaign wearing Ugg’s spring 2024 styles.
“UGG is a brand that I have grown up with and that exists very fondly in a lot of my younger memories, so to have been given the opportunity to work with them, let alone become their Global Ambassador is such a surreal moment for me. I am not only so so grateful and thankful, but I’m also ecstatic and looking forward to sharing my love for UGG with you as well,” Hanni said via statement.

Ugg’s spring 2024 campaign features Hanni wearing the three new sandal designs in colorful Y2K-inspired settings, including a room fully covered in lavender faux fur and an inflatable couch surrounded by pastel flowers.
The new Ugg collection includes the chunky GoldenGlow Velcro strap sandal, which comes in eight solid colors: fuchsia, green, white and soothing earth tones. The GoldenGlow sole is inspired by Ugg boots and retails for $100.
The Venture Daze, another style offered for spring 2024, reimagines the classic Ugg Tasman slipper into a futuristic slide and an outdoor slipper-mule — both have a thick, yet lightweight tire-tread sole made from renewable sugarcane EVA.
Each comes in three colorways: a light lime green, tan, or brown sole paired with a tan or brown Leather Working Group suede upper. The slide retails for $130, while the mule retails for $150.
The Stratus is a molded sandal with Velcro straps, including a removable heel strap that allows it to be converted into a slide. It comes in pink, orange, light green, white and black and retails for $80.
The Adventure Daze and GoldenGlow are currently available to purchase at ugg.com, brick-and-mortar Ugg stores, and select retailers, while the Stratus will be available starting April 1.
This is not the first time a fashion brand has tapped Hanni as an ambassador. She joined Gucci as a global brand ambassador back in October 2022 and is also a makeup ambassador for Armani Beauty. NewJeans bandmate Minji is a global ambassador for Chanel.
NewJeans is one of the newer K-pop group sensations on the map, garnering buzz immediately for their fresh, ’90s R&B-indebted take on the popular genre. They dropped their debut EP in August 2022, which included their second-ever single, “Hype Boy.” That catchy hit spent 37 weeks on Billboard’s Global 200 chart. Their second EP, produced largely by dance/R&B upstart Erika de Casier, “Get Up,” came in July 2023 and hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
