UM, Karlie Kloss Just Chopped Off All of Her Hair

It’s 2019, which means your best friend, your mom, and your annoying coworker have all likely hopped on the new-year-new-me boat, cutting out wine, deleting Tinder, or chopping off their hair. And the recent celebrity to get in on the trend is Karlie Kloss, who just cut her hair into a short, choppy lob.

This morning, Kloss took to her Instagram Stories to document her hair change, first posting a photo of her newly cut hair covering the floor of a salon, before recording herself ruffling her short hair. “Job well done,” she said to hairstylist Harry Josh, the mastermind behind the cut. “You talked me off the ledge-you talked me into cutting seven inches of my hair off. New year, new me.”

Previously, Kloss’ hair had been relatively long, hitting just below her shoulder blades. But now, she’s got a straight-up lob that just barely skims her clavicles.

Harry Josh posted a similar video of the model’s new cut to Instagram this morning, captioning it “Scissor happy week! Another big cut this time on @karliekloss,” hashtagging the clip #hairbully. “Holy, moly,” says Kloss in the clip; “this is my new look.”

And honestly? Her hair looks freaking awesome. Granted, she’s a celebrity who has insanely talented hairstylists on call to keep her lob looking awesome, so a short cut isn’t exactly as scary as it might be for us plebeians. But, still-if you’re looking for some inspo for your own chop, maaaay I suggest Karlie Kloss?
