Uma Thurman Gave Daughter Maya Hawke a Familiar Quarantine Haircut
With salons across the world temporarily shuttered, many of us are starting to ponder the virtues of a home haircut — including Uma Thurman and her daughter, 21-year-old Maya Hawke.
On Thursday, Thurman shared a photo of herself giving her daughter a haircut in quarantine, a brave feat that she seems to have pulled off beautifully.
"Home hair cuts bring us back home," she wrote. "We are all finding our selves again."
After seeing the photo of Thurman trimming her daughter's sleek blunt bob, many fans started drawing comparisons to the haircut Thurman had in her iconic role as Mia Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film Pulp Fiction. And with Hawke's stunning resemblance to her mother, we can see it.
Thurman shares Maya and 18-year-old son Levon Thurman-Hawke with ex-husband, actor Ethan Hawke. Last month, Maya shared a video of herself and Levon with their father and step-siblings, performing a rendition of Townes Van Zandt’s song "To Live Is To Fly" while in isolation together.

Maya, an actress and singer, previously opened up to InStyle about her relationship with her parents, telling us, "I'm so grateful for my parents and I love them and we have a great relationship. They set an amazing example for me and taught me so much. It's such an advantage to have people that you're really close to that have both carved paths through the arts to give information and advice and insight."
