While I'm out here actively ignoring every text that comes to my phone in the name of *self care*, James Charles has just willingly (I repeat: willingly) leaked his own phone number to millions of people on the internet.

No, he didn't get hacked. James explained why he did it on Instagram Stories, saying that getting to talk to his fans more intimately was one of his goals for the new year.

"One of my biggest goals for 2020 was finding more ways that I can communicate and talk to you guys directly, when I’m not able to give you hugs at meet and greets and stuff," the vlogger explained. "I have the perfect solution – I am giving you guys my phone number – know that sounds crazy, but I think it’s gonna be so much fun."

Fans can text James in real-time – seriously, he posted a screen recording on his Stories. "It is me, it goes directly to my phone," he said.

On top of sharing his number with 16.2 million Instagram followers, James also blasted it to 4.6 million people on Twitter.

One single hour after his first tweet, James had more than 100,000 text messages in his inbox. The thought alone has me shaking with anxiety.

"I literally have more than 100,000 messages HAHAH my phone is freaking out but i'm trying my best to reply to a bunch!!!," he said on Twitter.

Anyway, if you want to be one of the thousands blowing up his phone, shoot your shot.
