The Unexpected Place Taraji P. Henson, Mandy Moore, and More Celebs Wear Highlighter

Erika W. Smith

When Taraji P. Henson walked the 2019 Golden Globes red carpet in a plunging green Vera Wang gown, we couldn’t help but stare at her incredibly sparkly cleavage beaming through the low-cut silhouette. The way the makeup accentuated the contours of her neck and chest immediately made us want to put highlighter on our décolleté. If you want to follow suit (because why wouldn’t you), keep scrolling for the Empire actress’s detailed look, plus three more celebs that have made neck and chest highlighter part of their red carpet routine.

1. Taraji P. Henson: Ashunta Sheriff, the makeup artist behind Henson’s 2019 Golden Globes lewk, took to Instagram to share that she covered the star’s cleavage, as well as her cheeks and arms, in Boss Babe Highlighter from her own, soon-to-launch beauty line. (Photo via Steve Granitz/ Getty)

2. Constance Wu: The Crazy Rich Asians actress combined a silver Oscar de la Renta gown with a light-reflecting shoulder and collarbone highlight at the 2019 SAG Awards. Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta posted on Instagram that he created the look with Chanel Baume Essentiel Multi-Use Glow Stick ($45). (Photo via Rodin Eckenroth/ Getty)

3. Mandy Moore: The This Is Us actress stole the spotlight at the 2019 SAG Awards thanks to her crystal-accented Jason Wu gown and ever-so-slightly shimmery décolletage. Makeup artist Kindra Mann tells us she used Burt’s Bee’s All Aglow Bronzer & Highlighting Stick in Opal Mist ($13) on Moore’s face and body. (Photo via Jon Kopaloff/ Getty)

4. Rihanna: The Fenty Beauty founder loves to shine bright like a diamond, and she did just that at one of her launch events in October 2018. The brand’s Instagram account shared that Rihanna is wearing Killawatt Foil Palette in Coppin Ice ($54). (Photo via Brendon Thorne/ Getty)
