Universal's New Cotton Candy Clouds Might Be Even Better Than Butterbeer
You’ve tasted Honeyduke's Chocolate Frogs, sipped Butterbeer both frozen and not, and devoured authentic Cauldron Cakes, but the wildest new treat at Universal Orlando Resort isn’t even inside Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade.
Universal’s Islands of Adventure has turned Honk Honkers, a gift shop within its whimsical Seuss Landing area, into a cotton candy factory spinning oversized clouds of confections perfect for the Instagram set.

The towering treats come in an array of flavors including blue raspberry, pink vanilla, and birthday cake, and can be piled high on a paper cone — or for an extra burst of color, atop a rainbow “Unicorn Pop” lollipop. Toppings can be folded inside as well, ranging from rainbow sprinkles and chopped M&Ms to chocolate animal crackers, marshmallow bits, and rock candy crystals. The bulbous sweets cost $5.95 — $6.95 for Unicorn Pops — with each mix-in offered for $0.95.

The shop opened its cotton candy counter last month but has already seen it gain popularity. Surrounded by purple and yellow trees, cartoon-style buildings, and quirky Dr. Seuss characters like Cat and the Hat, this colorful treat fits in perfectly while being just crazy enough to trend towards becoming one of Universal’s most iconic foods.
