Who got voted off Survivor 43 tonight?
Sami Layadi
After the vast majority of his game had him masterfully playing the middle, Sami finally got caught and wound up on the wrong side of the vote last round. Even when he was one out of four targets, he looked to slip by when Karla's paranoia had her wanting to turn on her closest ally Cassidy. But Jesse turned the tides yet again, fearing Sami would be a threat in the firemaking challenge. And the nail in his coffin came with the Shot in the Dark, which he openly declared he'd be using at Tribal Council. So when it failed, that led to an open-and-shut unanimous vote.
Were any advantages found or played on Survivor 43 tonight?
The Final 7 got a note informing them an advantage hidden in the jungle. Cody was able to find the "Choose Your Champion" advantage, which give him the opportunity to put in a wager of who would win the next Immunity Challenge. He picked Owen, who was declared the victor alongside Karla when, for the first time, the players outlasted the challenge. That made Cody automatically safe as well.
