Urban Outfitters Adds Wildfang to Its Growing Gender-fluid Fashion Category
Wildfang, the Portland, Ore.-based gender-fluid brand, has scored its first wholesale partnership with Urban Outfitters. The online and in-store launch on Thursday will include a curation of Wildfang’s bestsellers, as well as five exclusive styles for the retailer. This marks Wildfang’s entry into the wholesale business.
The brand will launch with a high-waisted coverall, a shirtdress, button-up, satin wrap skirt and adjustable satin slipdress. The bestsellers are a long-sleeve cropped button-up, a six-way corset, a double-breasted blazer and a slim crop pant. Prices range from $78 to $188; the size range is XS to 3X (and 4X in the button-up) and pants go from 0-26W.

The launch will be followed by monthly drops of Wildfang’s bestselling styles and two more exclusives in April.
“Urban Outfitters has always been a champion for self-expression and for the emerging — from the customers we serve to the brands we partner with. Wildfang is emblematic of this spirit, and we’re proud to introduce them to our amazing community across the country and online, with only-at-UO styles designed for all genders,” said Chloe Harper, general merchandising manager at Urban Outfitters.
Emma McIlroy, chief executive officer and founder of Wildfang, added, “From the start, both Wildfang and Urban Outfitters have championed self-expression and community through fashion. As respective leaders in the fashion and retailing categories, this partnership answers the growing demand for accessible fashion that defies traditional gender norms.”
In addition to its e-commerce business, Wildfang has stores in Los Angeles and Portland.
Starting Thursday, Wildfang will be available on urbanoutfitters.com, as well as 20 stores across the U.S., including New York City, Georgetown, Austin and Seattle, among others.
In 2021, Wildfang teamed with Nordstrom’s in-house BP brand to create a gender-fluid collection called BP + Wildfang.
